When you spend most of your life on the water, it stops being just a hobby …it becomes who you are.
My name is Tom Sieburg, and I’m the owner and operator of Tom Tom’s Guide Service, a full-time professional walleye fishing guide based out of South Dakota and Nebraska.
I’ve spent decades chasing walleyes across the Midwest ….from the rolling waters of Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe in Pierre, South Dakota, to the small hidden gems around Omaha, Nebraska. Whether I’m guiding a father and son on their first trip, helping a group of friends land a personal best, or competing in a national-level tournament, the goal is always the same: make memories that last a lifetime.
From Weekend Angler to World Champion
In 2023, my fishing journey took a turn I’ll never forget. After years of local and regional events, my tournament partner Curtis McCormick and I qualified for the Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC) World Championship … held on Lake Sharpe in Pierre, South Dakota.
Three long days later, after tough bites and strategic calls, we walked away as World Champions.
That win wasn’t just about trophies. It was proof of how much dedication, patience, and time on the water pays off. Since then, I’ve continued to compete across the Midwest, from Lake Huron to Alexandria, Minnesota, always learning and pushing to be a better angler and guide.
What Guiding Means to Me
Being a guide isn’t just about catching fish …it’s about connecting with people. Every trip is different. One day it’s teaching a 10-year-old how to use Garmin LiveScope to watch a walleye chase their bait. The next day it’s helping an experienced angler fine-tune their presentation on deep structure.

From Open Water to Ice…..I Guide Year-Round
When the lakes freeze, my home base shifts north to Webster, South Dakota, where I guide ice fishing trips out of the Dakota Lakes Lodge. My clients stay right at the lodge and fish out of SnowBear machines across the Glacial Lakes region….chasing perch, crappie, and walleye in comfort.
When spring and summer return, I’m back running open-water trips around Pierre, South Dakota and the Omaha metro area. No matter the season, there’s always a bite to chase.
